Hey mom
A birthday greeting to my mom in this weekend post. Ruth has proven that 70 plus is the new thirtysomething. She has been Kansas farm girl, college student, Air Force wife, widow, teacher, church youth counselor, Nebraska farm wife and grandmother. She is wise, fun-loving, encouraging, understanding, supportive and a million other things that I appreciate. You would count yourself blessed to know her. And you know I can count on my mom to read the blog on a semi-regular basis (the rest of you are less reliable in comparison,) Happy Birthday, Mom!

Don't have the privilege to know your mom but sounds like she is a wonderful as mine. Great individuals who got us "here" and sometimes keep us "grounded".
Congratulations to both of you!
Happy birthday, Mrs. Karst. We don't hold you responsible you for TK's occasional missteps, only for his occasional brilliance. Live long and prosper.
Well said. I hope all readers out there enjoy the holiday season and renew family connections; I know I'm looking forward to that this year, too.
