UC Davis economist Roberta Cook forwarded another powerpoint presentation to me that offers more insight on consumer trends, and the presentation is published by Google below. Lots of great trend data on per capita consumption and consumer trends. One quote: "People are having a love affair with food, but most are not in love with their local supermarket."
