Grimmway's McNeece wins foodservice award
MONTEREY, Calif. -- Lisa McNeece, vice president of foodservice and industrial sales for Grimmway Farms, Bakersfield, was honored as The Packer's Foodservice Achievement Award winner this morning at the PMA Foodservice show.
This is the 7th year The Packer has presented the award. Previous winners include Tim York of Markon, Bruce Taylor of Taylor Farms and Manny Costa of Costa Fruit.
McNeece was honored for her tireless work in promoting and selling carrots in foodservice and her service on a variety of industry boards and advisory committees.
Please check http://www.thepacker.com/ on Monday, July 28, for the story and photo and the print edition Aug. 4 for The Packer's coverage of the convention.

GJ: This was the third year I had the pleasure to present the award. In compiling comments from her peers, this year was no doubt the most pleasant because Lisa is so well liked and respected. Nearly everyone I talked to considered Lisa both a peer and a friend. One even compared her to the legendary Joe Stubbs for her ability to bring people together. Several people said when they think of Grimmway, they think of Lisa. To so many, she is the face of Grimmway Farms. If you're attending the PMA Foodservice show, please congratulate her.
