The USDA issued a proposed rule and a notice of public meetings on the topic of movement of genetically engineered organisms into the U.S. Find the federal docket here, which describes the effort as the first revisiting of regulations first established in 1987. The agency will take comments until Nov. 24 and also consider input from three public meetings at Davis, Calif., Riverdale, Md. and Kansas City, Mo.
