Gee whiz - Fresh Talk visitors and where they are from

The sitemeter counter on Fresh Talk keeps track of the number of visitors, page views (the page views box is a quarter the way down the blog on the right) and also the locations of the IP addresses of the visitors. I've noted that other blogs don't often have visible counters (PP, for example), but my thought is - why not?
