"Get close to the customer" at FRUIT LOGISTICA 2015

Berlin, 30 October 2014 – A well-attended lecture at the recent Freshfel conference in Brussels was titled "Get close to the youth". To counteract the declining consumption of fruits and vegetables, the speaker highlighted the importance of targeting young people with new, surprising and humorous marketing ideas.

FRUIT LOGISTICA takes place from 4-6 February 2015 in Berlin and offers many sources of inspiration for creative marketing ideas. In fact, a hall forum session will show how to use new media at the POS to get young people excited about fresh produce. Meetings with business partners from around the world are especially useful opportunities to exchange ideas, get inspired, talk shop, and of course do business.

" 'Get close to the customer' could indeed be FRUIT LOGISTICA’s motto," says Gérald Lamusse, FRUIT LOGISTICA Global Brand Manager. "Personal contact is the basis for good business relations. A lot can be done over the telephone or through e-mails, but it is incredibly important to shake hands and make eye contact at least once a year. FRUIT LOGISTICA offers an unparalleled opportunity for this."

FRUIT LOGISTICA 2014 attracted more than 62,000 trade visitors from 141 countries. 2,600 exhibitors from 84 countries presented their products and range of services.
