Fruit and Vegetable Industry Advisory Committee - new date

We’ve re-scheduled next week’s meeting of the Fruit and Vegetable Industry Advisory Committee for February 7-8. The location will be the South American Conference of the Capital Hilton, 1001-16th Street NW, Washington, D.C. We are confirming the schedule of speakers and will disseminate an agenda by tomorrow or Friday. It will be posted, too, on our agency’s web site at http://www.ams.usda.gov/fv.

I got an anonymous comment that asks me to ask some "hard questions" to AMS when I next interview agency officials. Since the comment was anonymous and the point at issue had been made before on the blog, I'll leave it at that. I'll keep you posted otherwise.

With all the buzz in DC on food safety and cross-authority you better go well armed in case a new can of regulatory worms are are opened on you. Lawyer up, as they say. Ask for an an independent audit of programs for costs.
