Two for the industry

When issues relating to the California citrus industry are in the news, you typically will see Mike Wootton of Sunkist and Joel Nelsen of California Citrus Mutual figure prominently in the coverage. For at least the past two decades, they have been the "go to guys" when it comes to citrus issues, and lately they have been busy. Everything from border inspectors, quarantine rules in Florida, the freeze in California, the new farm bill and trade negotiations keep them active. Look for plenty more from these two the rest of the year...
These shots were from a trip last year to California, one with Joel in a citrus grove across the street from his office and Mike in the Sunkist board room.

Changing behavior

Another weekend feature for you: I recorded an entertaining presentation at the USDA's Agricultural Outlook Forum on March 1 by Brian Wansink, a professor of marketing at Cornell University. I talked about his presentation earlier, on this post.

Wansink talks a bunch about behavior change. If you are a food marketer, I think you will enjoy and gain insight from it. Here is the link.
